Paycheck Protection Program

The CARES Act created the Paycheck Protection Program, which will serve as an extension of the Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) loan program, allowing financial institutions to provide federally-backed, forgivable loans to eligible businesses. The Program provides small businesses with funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent and utilities.

In accordance with the recommended procedures of local authorities, we will be temporarily adjusting the operations of our branches as follows:
- Branches with drive-up service: Amboy Bank will be temporarily suspending lobby services at these branches. Transactions may be carried out through the drive-up window, ATM and night depository (where applicable). You can also call the branch to arrange an appointment for limited essential services, such as safe deposit box access and wire transfer services. Signs will be posted at the branch with these instructions as well.
- Branches without drive-up services- limited access by appointment (Metuchen, Millstone, New Brunswick and Woodbridge): Amboy Bank clients will have access to the branch lobby by appointment only to ensure social distancing practices. Please contact your branch to arrange an appointment for limited essential services, such as safe deposit box access and wire transfer services. Transactions may also be carried out through the ATM and night depository (where applicable). Signs will be posted at the branch with these instructions as well.
